Resizing a ring and how to do it?

Czarking31 Says: I purchased a ring and I need to have it refitted. Im worried about leaving the stone with the jeweler as the stone may be replaced even though the chance is slim if you go to a reputable jeweler. I would like to compare the diamond # to the certificate number under the microscope. Am I out of place asking something like this or not? Also, if you have any recommendation as to where to get my ring resized or a place to ship it to let me know. Thanks Posted Feb 16, 2010 | |

BlueSparkle51 Says: You are totally right. I think you should research on the internet to find some good places to reshape the ring. You can also your friends and family whether they know someone trustworthy. Posted Feb 24, 2011 |

KellyKabano3 Says: You are completely right Czarking31. You must ask for diamond certificate and ask the jeweler to give you gurantee of the price of your existing stone and of the fact that your stone won't be replaced at all. Posted Mar 2, 2011 |

ForrestGreen Says: Yes, many jewelers give the certificate of authenticity before taking the jewelry. This allows you to cross-check the jewelry after you get it back and hold the jeweler accountable if you find any foul play. Posted Mar 10, 2011 |
